Introduction
We are an organization that unites undergraduate and graduate students who share a passion for wildlife veterinary medicine, conservation, ecology, and zoological research. We seek to expose our students to career and education opportunities by hosting speaker presentations and participating in educational excursions that allow our students to gain hands on experience working in the field.
We search for speakers from a variety of areas of study to continue to broaden our knowledge and education. Some of our speakers include wildlife veterinarians, biologists, researchers, Arizona Game & Fish Department officials, and wildlife rehabilitators. Our trips in the past have included behind the scene tours of the Tucson Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Out of Afica Park, The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Yosemite National Park, and Kaibab National Forest. |
Mission Statement
The University of Arizona Student Chapter of Wildlife Disease Association is a club developed to connect students with researchers, veterinarians, and professionals within the field of wildlife disease and conservation in an interactive environment. We strive to expose students to relevant and emerging wildlife disease studies and get involved through expeditions, volunteer opportunities, and guest speakers.
