On the first day, they took a hike up to Mirror Lake, which is a lake that is well-known for it's clear waters that exhibit a perfect reflection of the Half Dome mountains. Throughout their stay, they volunteered with park service and helped set up a check-in station at one of their campsites, they also went on several hikes up the mountains to help pick up litter around the area.
Our students were able to see a variety of wildlife, including deer, snakes, and most importantly mischievous raccoons. One of the nights, a raccoon snuck into one of our students tents to steal a bag of chex mix. Students were able to shoo the raccoons away, but sadly enough the chex mix was never found.
Glad that you all had a safe and fun trip!
